It decides what to study today.
Open the app and today's cards are already chosen, pulled from every deck at once. Breve uses FSRS, the scheduling method serious Anki users switched to, so a card comes back just before you would have forgotten it. Once the day is set it stays set, so finishing means finished.

You can type your answer instead of grading yourself. Breve marks what you got wrong right on the card, keeping what you wrote and putting the correct word above it, so you can see the difference at a glance.
It spots the mistake behind the mistake.
Get the same thing wrong often enough and Breve tells you what it is, with the cards and answers that led it there. When you stop making the mistake, it says so and closes the finding.
Every pattern comes from your own answers. AI can explain one or build practice for it, but it can never invent one.

Decks, projects, and classes
A deck is what you study. A project groups decks together without moving anything. A class adds the days you actually have lessons.
Privacy
Your cards never leave your devices.
Everything you make stays on your device and syncs through your own iCloud. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to, because there is no Breve server for any of it to go to.

Apple's private servers, for the rest. Apple cannot read what is sent.
Breve is built with a fourth tier for cloud generation. It is switched off, and while it is off it sends nothing. Turning it on would take a Pro subscription, a separate disclosure, and your explicit consent, in that order.
The app does fetch its configuration when it launches. That request carries your device language, region, and OS version. It does not carry anything you have studied.
The part you use every day is free.
